An announcement from the Brain Awareness Week Campaign Headquarters

11 Mar

Dear Brain Awareness Week Partners, Brain Awareness Week—March 15-21—is less than two months away, and we’re looking forward to hearing how you plan to celebrate in your community! Partners can now log in to the Brain Awareness Week website to post your event information on the Calendar of Events.

With the Covid-19 pandemic continuing to impact communities around the globe, we encourage partners to hold their activities online to ensure the health and safety of organizers and participants. Visit our new Online/Virtual Event Ideas page for a list of activity suggestions. We even created Brain Awareness Week Zoom backgrounds to use during your events!

Please be sure to take advantage of the free resources available on our website. Our booklets are available to download and print from the Handouts & Resources section. We also have an array of downloadable materials for children and adults, including fact sheets, lesson plans, and puzzles.

Here’s what’s new for the 2021 campaign:
Printable Truth or Myth Flash Cards to test the neuroscience knowledge of your participants. Editable flyers (8.5 x 11 and 11 x 17) to use in promoting your events. Participation Certificate to distribute to attendees. Facebook cover image to help spread the word on social media.

As a Brain Awareness Week partner, we encourage you to organize an activity in your community to share the wonders of the brain and the impact brain science has on our everyday lives. By actively participating in the campaign and keeping us informed of your plans, you are contributing to the campaign’s success and ensuring its future.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us should you have any questions. We look forward to hearing about your Brain Awareness Week 2021 celebrations!
